From San Juan del Río, take Federal Highway 120 to Vizarrón. About 7 km ahead is the turnoff to San Joaquín. At km 30 follow the road to the Zimapán hydroelectric dam; at km 11, a dirt road about 500 m long leads to the Toluquilla plateau.
