Access

It can be accessed from various points in the city. From the city center, you can walk along the main streets to Avenida Francisco I. Madero Oriente. Public transportation stops are located near the Historic Center. If arriving by car, it is recommended to head towards the city center and use nearby parking lots, as the area has limited access to certain streets.

Sala de Exposiciones del Centro INAH Michoacán

Dedicated to promoting Mexico’s historical, archaeological, and anthropological heritage. Through its exhibitions, it showcases research on the human history, evolution, and cultural diversity of Michoacán, promoting learning and the preservation of historical memory.


VISIT US

Located in Morelia’s Historic Center, this museum serves as a meeting point between academic knowledge and the general public. Its exhibitions offer visitors a glimpse into different periods of human history and help them understand the social, cultural, and scientific processes that have contributed to the formation of today’s communities. Through exhibits, informational materials, and museum resources, the space seeks to spark interest in the past and foster an appreciation for cultural heritage.

Among the topics it has explored are research related to human evolution, anthropology, and the human presence in Mexico. These exhibitions invite visitors to reflect on the origins of our species, the changes societies have undergone over time, and the relationship between people, their environment, and their cultural expressions.

Además de su función como espacio de exhibición, la Sala de Exposiciones del Centro INAH Michoacán cumple una importante labor educativa al acercar al público los resultados de investigaciones realizadas por especialistas en distintas áreas del conocimiento. Mediante sus actividades, contribuye a despertar el interés por la historia, fortalecer la identidad cultural y promover la conservación de los bienes que forman parte de la memoria colectiva.

El recinto se integra al importante conjunto histórico y cultural de Morelia, ciudad reconocida por su arquitectura, sus monumentos y su relevancia dentro del patrimonio mexicano. Su ubicación permite que habitantes y visitantes puedan complementar su recorrido por el Centro Histórico con una experiencia de aprendizaje y apreciación del legado cultural de la región.
