
Santuario de Jesús Nazareno de Atotonilco
18th-century architectural complex, one of the best examples of Baroque art and architecture in New Spain. It was begun in 1740 by the Jesuit priest Luis Felipe Neri de Alfaro and consists of a large church and several small chapels, decorated with oil paintings by Rodríguez Juárez and mural paintings by Miguel Antonio Martínez de Pocasangre.
