Convento de San Francisco
Historic monument founded in 1561 by Franciscan friars. As the first mission in the region, the viceroy designated the convent as the head of the Province of the Custody of Zacatecas. Before 1630, the construction of a new church began, featuring the region's first altarpiece dedicated to Saint Joseph. This second church was demolished in 1719 to build a third one, of which only ruins remain.
