This bridge dates back to 1782 and is one of the oldest in the city. It is said that its construction was entrusted to the best engineer in New Spain to enhance communication with nearby regions. Three days before the inauguration date, there was a strong storm that completely destroyed the construction. Legend has it that a man dressed in black approached the engineer and offered to build a beautiful and strong bridge in exchange for his soul.
