San Francisco was the fifth bastion to be built, and its architecture is similar to that of La Soledad. It was built between 1686 and 1690. Originally, it occupied an area of 1,341.90 square meters, but in 1899, the New Urban Tram Company of Campeche requested permission to demolish part of it and build a road connecting the city center with the Santa Ana neighborhood.
