Single Gallery
Sala
The museum features a single gallery occupying a rectangular space of nearly 270 square meters, surrounded by the tropical dry forest characteristic of this natural setting. Among the most notable pieces are clay sculptures and urns from the Central Valleys, a jamb from a tomb in the Etla Valley, and polychrome vessels from the Mixteca region. All the pieces are original, except for a reproduction of a turquoise mosaic-decorated skull from Burial 7 of Monte Albán.
In the near future, the museum display will be updated so that visitors can admire pieces recovered from excavations carried out since 1989 at the Bocana del Río Copalita archaeological site.
