Arched Room (House of the Aqueduct)
Sala
On Revolución Avenue, the House of the Aqueduct is the last section of the museum. This space served as a infirmary during the time of the college. On the ground floor, there were mills and tool storage; upstairs, there were cells for the sick, a chapel, and a lookout that must have comforted the friars in bed: the trees and streams of the orchard in the foreground, further away the ravine of the Río Chico, the fields of Miraflores, and, in the distance, the Sierra del Ajusco.
Also called the Novohispanic House due to its decoration and the craftsmanship of its furniture, it now serves as a temporary exhibition room. It hosts the permanent exhibition "Afanes de la Memoria," which showcases the old San Ángel and its surroundings.
