These are the two central places of the site. They consist of wide spaces but limited around by the foundations. There, civic affairs were discussed, decisions were made or religious acts were carried out. For the latter purpose, small altars were built in each plaza.

Fan-shaped stairway: In some of the basements of Plaza 1 it is possible to see fan-shaped stairways. This effect was achieved by making the steps at the bottom longer than those at the top.
