Desposeer para colectivizar: Alvar Carrillo Gil y el coleccionismo
The exhibition explores two fundamental aspects of collecting: on the one hand, the accumulation of objects and works of art in the private sphere, a practice that has historically led to the creation of public institutions dedicated to the conservation, research, and dissemination of artistic heritage; on the other hand, the practice of painting understood as a means of learning, experimentation, and aesthetic appreciation. Through these perspectives, the exhibition reflects on the ways in which artistic knowledge is constructed, collections are formed, and the relationships between the private sphere and the public space are articulated.
