The exhibition explores the shifts that images of action art undergo when they are translated, reproduced, and reworked in different contexts. Far from functioning solely as documentary records, these images acquire new layers of meaning through the processes that transform and recontextualize them. The exhibition highlights how, through these operations, the images achieve a relative autonomy from the events they document and become part of the construction of historical narratives, transforming into spaces for interpretation, memory, and the production of knowledge.
