Carolina Meza Rodríguez

Graduate of the National School of Anthropology and History (ENAH) with vast experience of excavation. Since 2004 she has taken part in 12 projects and has worked in a diverse array of archeological contexts notably in the Mayan region, in Nazca in Peru and of course at Chalcatzingo. She has also worked on the excavation and conservation of several buildings in the state of Morelos, such as the Former Monastery of San Andrés (Jumiltepec), the Chapel and Former Monastery of Santo Domingo de Guzmán (Hueyapan) and the Former Monastery of San Juan Bautista (Tetela del Volcán), under the direction of the archeologist Laura Ledesma Gallegos. For the past 11 years she has been attached to the Chalcatzingo Archeological Project, directed by the archeologist Mario Córdova Tello.

She taught the courses on archeological techniques and on the analysis of archeological materials at ENAH in 2007 and 2008. She has published 19 popular and academic articles and has assisted in the review of texts for National Geographic, magazine as well as activities to promote access and guided tours for diverse groups at the Chalcatzingo archeological site, for which she is directly responsible.
