Eduardo Pío Gamboa Carrera

Archeology graduate of the National School of Anthropology and History, Mexico City. MA in Architecture specializing in the restoration of monuments from the INAH School of Restoration, and PhD candidate in the INAH School of Anthropology.
Founded the International Seminar in the Conservation and Restoration of Earthen Architecture in 1994. He prepared the technical file for the Paquime World Heritage status application, as well the national heritage files for Cuarenta Casas and the archeological sites of Huapoca, Sirupa and Cueva Grande in the Madera region. He is a team member and strategic plan reviewer for the management of Paquime. He is currently working on rescuing Casas Grandes culture sites in the mountains of Chihuahua.
He has written various publications within his area of specialism in regional studies and the archeological diversity of northwest Mexico. He is a member of the INAH Archeological Council and he directs the Paquime Archeological Site Research and Conservation Project. He holds the post of Professor of Surveying (Archeological Methods and Techniques) in the National School of Anthropology and History.
