He is currently the director of the National Photograph Library System-INAH Photographic Library, Mexico City. History graduate of the Autonomous University of Hidalgo, who also studied biology at UNAM. He is a photographer and has a diploma in Visual Anthropology. He has advised more than 100 Mexican and foreign photographic libraries, and has spoken at photographic coloquia and international meetings. He is a visiting professor at several universities in Latin America. He held a photography scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (2001); he won the INAH Paul Coremans National Research Prize twice (1993 and 1996), held an nbsp;Established Creative State Culture and the Arts Scholarship from the State of Hidalgo in the discipline of photography (1997). He has published three books on photographic conservation and five technical booklets as well as twenty academic and popular articles. His photographic work has been displayed in five individual and exhibitions and 14 shared exhibitions in Mexico and abroad.
