He graduated in Archeology from the National School of Anthropology and History (ENAH) in 1988. The following year he joined the Tabasco INAH Center as research professor for the project on the description and archeological hierarchy of the Zoque groups in the state. He has carried out a variety of research projects contributing to the understanding of Maya and Zoque archeology, mainly at the archeological sites of Moral-Reforma, Balacan and Malpasito.
