He has a BA in Anthropological Sciences with a specialism in archeology from the Autonomous University of Yucatan, and he obtained a Diploma in Deterioration, Restoration and Conservation of the Tangible Cultural Heritage from the Autonomous University of Campeche. Base researcher at the National Institute of Anthropology and History attached to the Archeology Section of the Campeche INAH Center, he has taken part in and directed rescues and archeological research projects in the states of Campeche and Yucatan including Becan, Chicanna and Cerro de los Muertos. He has also carried out historical archeology research in the monasteries of San Francisco de Campeche and San Antonio de Padua Hopelchen, as well as in the historical center of Campeche, Seyba Cabecera, Conhuas Viejo and other locations. He has written numerous popular and specialist articles published in Mexico and abroad. He is the co-author of the following books: Arqueología histórica en la ciudad de Campeche, Exploraciones arqueológicas en Edzná, Campeche, and Rescates y salvamentos arqueológicos en Campeche y Yucatán. He currently directs the following projects: the Archeological Atlas of Campeche, major and minor interventions in archeological sites open to the public in the south of Campeche, and the research, conservation and rescue of the archeology of Xpuhil. He also supervises surveying work and rescue projects in the south of Campeche.
