María Teresa Pavía Miller

María Teresa Pavía Miller is a History of Art graduate of the Ibero-American University, holder of an MA and History PhD candidate of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and professor and researcher of the National Institute of Anthropology and History.
In 1992 she won the Francisco de la Maza INAH Prize for the best undergraduate thesis with her work on The Guerrero Regional Museum: its history, architecture and murals, published by INAH in 1996. [In Spanish]
She also won a distinction from Atanasio G. Saravia IX BANAMEX Prize for Regional Mexican History 2000-01, for the best master’s thesis: Anhelos y realidades del Sur en el siglo XIX. Creación y vicisitudes del estado de Guerrero. 1811-1867, published by the Congress of the State of Guerrero in 2001.
